Geomarketing analyses

Supporting business decisions with spatial analysis, from catchment areas to purchasing power.

What is geomarketing?

Geomarketing is where marketing meets GIS. Company and market data, such as customers, sites, sales or population, is tied to its geographic location and analysed on a map with spatial methods. This answers questions that a spreadsheet cannot. Where do our customers live, where is it worth opening a new store, and which area is an unused opportunity.

Geomarketing analyses help decisions rest on data that takes local conditions into account, not on a hunch.

Examples of use

Catchment area analysis

It shows where the customers of a store, service point or site come from, and from what distance or travel time it can be reached. The catchment area lets you assess market share, overlap with competitors and the size of the potential customer base in the area served.

Sales network optimisation

It makes the distribution of sales territories, agent and representative districts, stores or delivery points more efficient. The aim is even coverage, balanced workload across territories and the shortest possible travel time.

Location analysis

It helps choose the best place for a new store, office or warehouse. A site is assessed by its surroundings, for example the make-up of the population, traffic, accessibility, competitors and attractive functions nearby.

Purchasing power analysis

Broken down by settlement or smaller area units, it shows how large the spending capacity of the population is in each place. This supports market sizing, regional targeting of campaigns and expansion planning.

How we work

We start from the client’s own data, public sources and base map data, and deliver the results as maps, tables and a report. If you have a question or need such an analysis, contact us using our contact details.
